You really are a dishonest prick aren't you. No one is denying completely that people like that exist. However, as said before, jumping to this conclusion based off of zero evidence, every time you hear a pastor or priest doing something bad, is absurd.

We know they exist, Lion. I said so myself above. But you've deployed this argument twice in recent memory, and both times against people you don't even know, let alone well enough to know the contents of their head. Like I said earlier, we can't go assuming things about people contrary to their stated beliefs just because we want to; you don't ever get to tell someone else what they believe.

I never said all instances of this were conspiracy theories. I said yours were.

Because you're a lying shitsack that thinks your own beliefs of convenience are evidence enough to prove that all of reality matches them?

When all the POES and the lukewarm wankers stop coming here pretending to be all things to all people so they can have feint praise heaped on their obsequious heads for being quasi-bearable, least worst, unitarian Christians, THEN you can check in with me to see if I give a stuff what you think about my posts.

Lion, cool your britches. You are talking about The Clergy Progect that was set up by Dan Dennett and another woman (her name escapes me). It was established to give pastors that were closet Atheists out of their churches. Many of them admitted, once they left, that the main reason they were staying was because they had no training in anything else. They said that if they could recieve free training to seek jobs elsewhere, it would be a huge motivator to leave the church, and live a new life.

That's one of the things The Clergy Project does. They've got roughly 570 members, and aside from training for new careers, they also council eachother. Their meetings are for Clergy only, and not Dan Dennett, nor anybody else that is not a deconverting pastor is able to even sit in on their meetings.

I'm curious though, even if ALL pastors in America were Atheists, would that change what's going on?

They're not making their money off of selling a lack of belief in God.

Why are these people, that attend these churches every week, who reach into their own pockets unable to see what took me seconds to realize with just a commercial?

What good is coming from this artificial "spiritual cleansing". It's a hoax, a scam, and it's resources that are being wasted.

It's self-righteous Christians that are too blinded by their own desires to make themselves feel better. If they were more concerned with the "message" the church offers, they'd realize that the money flowing through these palace-like churches is not being used to deliver charity to the people that really need it. Why do the Christians at these churches not have a problem with the high-end luxury cars that they drive into their reserved spot at the front of the church?

Do they feel so good from what they get from the building, that they are unable to see the bad that makes the building stand?

The Christians are enabling this stuff. Blame it on the pastor, but he's not doing it on his own, and he wouldn't be there if there weren't ignorant people willing to pay him to stay. Atheist or not, he's obviously telling them what they want to hear, and he's getting paid for it.

If the pastor is an Atheist, nobody knows it. Just like nobody knows which members of The Vatican are child molesters. But neither of these things hinder people from contributing to the institutions that harbor these people. The Christians provide a place for themto masquerade under their naivety. The blame is for all to share.

If you want to do something to help your cause, and detach yourself from the idiocy, toss that book they preach from into a furnice, and light it up. That would be a good start.

Strictly speaking it's a reference to Poe's law, but he's basically talking about fakers, man.

Of course, without any basis for his accusations, the fact that he made them means approximately dick, but hey...

Oh OK. The capitals threw me, thought it might have been an acronym.

Fortunately I've not spotted any lukewarm wankers around, but if I do I'll flag it up.

Thanks. Carry on. .
