No, an intelligent person would question if the tree is indeed a mango tree and not a dangerous tree whos fruits would kill him if he consumed them.

I really do not know and i don't think it is important to know at this stage.
But let me explain my point.
I am starving, i am wondering in the forest and i see a mango tree full of ripe mangoes.
What an intelligent person would do?
Would he question whether that mango tree come from here or there or would try to grasp as many mangoes as possible and quench the hunger?
At this stage is absurd trying to understand where God came from considering that a small mind or an UNIdimensional mind can not grasp the mind of a MULTIdimensional mind like God.
It takes time to grasp big things.
It is like a small child that pretend to know what a doctor know without having to go through all years of learning.
So why worry at this stage?
Learn bit by bit then slowly you will know how the system works. 
There's no similarity between a hungry person and mangoes on a tree and a person who's being given information about god.
This is like saying you don't know for sure about god so just try and worship whatever type of god there is just incase.
A more similar set of circumstances would be a hungry man seeing what he thinks is a mango tree in the distance but then another man approaches him and tells him that the mangos aren't really there and that an angel spoke to him and told him to write a book about where the mangoes really are even though you can't see or taste the mangoes.

Dear Enrico,
(And I'm not going to bust your balls about the language because it is clear that English is not your native tongue and you're doing well enough. Instead I'm going to bust your balls about how religions get started.)
To use your scenario, the starving guy who finds the mango tree will start grabbing mangoes as fast as he can eat them. All he cares about is eating mangoes.
Some other guy who has been watching will then come over and say:
"Hey, buddy. You should thank GOD for putting this mango tree here for you. Let me tell you about GOD. These are his rules and, oh, give me some money so I call tell others about him."
THAT's how god got invented.

Min.... I'd say the actual mechanism for the invention of gods was a bit more stretched out.
Maybe it went something like...
- Why do some of us die? I don't want to die...
- Hmmm... this meat is better cooked than raw! Let's add some herbs... wowwww dudeeee... I see dead people!!!
- I can speak to people who are dead. They convey their messages through me!
- I want nothing to do with your dead people... I speak to the sun and moon... they give us life!
- All the animals and plants, planets, stars are spirits. The stars are the spirits of our dead ancestors.
- Only animals have spirits. The sun is above all.
- The spirits (gods) sort of look like people.
- The gods have a hierarchy, Zeus, Jupiter, Ra, Odin, etc... are the leaders of all gods.
- There is only one god.
In parallel with all these: pff, dude, seriously? wake up!
