Stereotypes for Homosexuality

RE: Stereotypes for Homosexuality
I chew on mineSmile
I am so glad I'm not in high school anymore. People have asked my why I don't want to go to any high school reunions. Like I want to relive that and see those people again? Really.

Supposedly can go to hell Tongue

Instead of wondering why some call out at 'homosexual stereotypes'... wouldn't a better question be 'Why is homosexuality frowned upon at all in the middle/high-school environment?'

It seems ridiculous... but if 'bad' things happen... they are often declared 'gay'. But why is it so?

I call things "Gay" all the time. I don't see it as being derogatory to homosexuals or implying someone is homosexual. Maybe it's a slang kinda thing depending on location?

It's kind of like gay has colloquial meaning of "stupid" or "retarded".

And maybe I can say it because I am gay? Does it work like that? XD

RE: Stereotypes for Homosexuality
In 11-16 uk schools the word 'gay' is uttered every other word. The pre college in-between 2/3 years seems to be where ppl come out and suddenly the word is both demonised and crucified.

I have to stop myself using it, immature as I am.

Quote:OK, seriously, could you, like, shut the fuck up?! There is no specific way to tell if a person's gay or not unless you've seen them kiss a man.

I think you're confusing fuckwitted homophobia with stereotyping. IE The implication is there is something wrong with being gay, which is a bigoted and hateful attitude.

The correct response is "---and that's your business exactly HOW?" But I can see that response may causes problems at a highschool where many think conformity is important.

It might be worth observing that such sensitivity indicates the speaker is probably gay.(it may or may not be true, but it will probably get a laugh and shut the idiot up for 3 minutes.Of course the idiot might hit you)

Or

"Seriously, homophobia is SO immature! " ( which it is )

Or

Just kick the speaker in the nuts.Devil
