Another Republican sex scandal

I swear, when the Republicans get caught in a sex scandal, they seem to go all-out, don't they? It's always a gay sex scandal or it's kiddy porn.... or both.
I guess the question is, why do they think they have the moral authority to judge and govern the sex lives of others when they can't even control their own sexuality enough to stay within the rule of law?

In some cases, literally.
The dems may not be perfect, but at least their sex scandals all involve women. Which only highlights the hipocracy of the homophobic stances of many Republicans.

Probably because they experience a good deal of self loathing, and its much easier to transfer it onto other people than deal with their own issues.
Same reason its generally the most frightened kids who turn into bullies.

I think it has to do with power and the corruption that accompanies it.
They view themselves as beyond the law due to their stature, and thus they believe they can get away with anything.

True. But, as stated, democrat sex scandals tend to involve adult women while the Republicans seem to throw themselves into sex scandals with children and men; and even doing dudes wouldn't be so bad, except their party is so highly homophobic. So, I mean, if Anthony Weiner wants to send pics of his weiner around, that's embarassing, but it would be even more embarassing if he were trying to pass legislation making it a felony to send dick pics to people.

He must not have been a true Republican, because we all know that no real Republican would ever look at kiddie porn.
Seriously, it's more like what TaraJo said. The Republican Party has set itself up to be the guardian and decider of the country's morals, so it's very hypocritical when they get caught up in a sex scandal. And when you also factor in that they also try to be the party of God, it just makes them look even more hypocritical.
