RE: Time for diet and exercise!
Okay, here's how weight loss works. To loose 1kg of fat per week you need to eliminate about 7700 calories from your diet. Weight training burns about 150 calories, so that's only 1050 calories a week (1/7th of the requirement).

The total calories I'll be consuming daily (on the crash diet) will be about 1200. If we use the standard 2500 calories/wk requirement for men, that's 1300 calories eliminated per day. Per week it's 9100 calories. Add the calories burned during training to that total and we get to 10150 calories eliminated per week. Now a quick calculation would yield that should translate to 1.3kg fat loss per week.

So the mathematics clearly show that my plan should and will work. With more vigorous training I would of course be able to loose in excess of 1.6-2kg/wk.

I have a road bike -- but yes exactly this!

20-40 miles a pop. That'll get you some god damn weight loss! Plus you can eat just about whatever the hell you want... and it's super fun! :-)

RE: Time for diet and exercise!
I know this one exercise video that sits in my cd case.. it's awesome. I'm going to pull it out this year, and keep it out this time Tongue I have a wedding this year to get ready for! Anyways, 20min of exercises to that magic video three to five times a week, helped me lose 25 lbs in one month! My heart was happier too, says the doctor. The dvd is Jillian Michaels workout level one and it's mainly just a mix up of all sorts of exercises--jumping jacks, squats, punches, kicks, all alternating 20-40 seconds a piece for twenty minutes, and in essence it confuses your body into thinking it needs to turn on the metabolism. The trick is bouncing around the muscle groups and confusing your body, I guess. Weights and stretches are in there, along with crunches and pushups--it's not pleasant, but it goes by really fast and next thing you know you're feelin great!

Being chronically ill, bad foods affect me more than they do healthy people. So if something's bad, I know about it-- Fast food: is BAD. bad bad bad bad bad! I cut it out years ago, and haven't missed it! The only fast food I eat (98% of the time) is Subway.
Also soda is horrific, even the diet stuff. Diet soda is worse, if it has aspartame in it. Just look up aspartame side effects--they're awful!
My sister is a nurse and told me that when you microwave things it changes the molecular structure of the food and makes more carcinogens. I have yet to confirm this online, but I try not to microwave stuff. Does anyone know if that's true?
If I were to create self aware beings knowing fully what they would do in their lifetimes, I sure wouldn't create a HELL for the majority of them to live in infinitely! That's not Love, that's sadistic. Therefore a truly loving god does not exist!

Quote:The sin is against an infinite being (God) unforgiven infinitely, therefore the punishment is infinite.

Dead wrong.  The actions of a finite being measured against an infinite one are infinitesimal and therefore merit infinitesimal punishment.

Quote:Some people deserve hell.

I say again:  No exceptions.  Punishment should be equal to the crime, not in excess of it.  As soon as the punishment is greater than the crime, the punisher is in the wrong.

That DVDs sounds awesome. I might get it myself!

All microwaves do to your food is make the water jiggle about fast enough to heat up real quick. I don't see how that could make food carcinogenic. Your oven on the other hand, can easily do so, all you have to do is overcook something in there to get some lovely black carcinogenic burnt bits.

I just eat as much veg as possible and storm the gym like a gladiator going out to war. Plus lifting heavy things in work all day for hours.

All the numbers and calculations in diets bore the fuck out of me and make me want to fall asleep rather than be energetic.

Are you ready for the fire? We are firemen. WE ARE FIREMEN! The heat doesn’t bother us. We live in the heat. We train in the heat. It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them.

Impersonation is treason.

What Americans have been eating in their school lunches and fast food for ages. Some chains still sell this stuff and so do schools.
