My Generic Introduction Thread Title

Hey everyone. Just wanted make a customary quick introduction. I've been lurking around for a little while now and finally decided to register. I'm a 22 year old guy living in Illinois.

I remember believing in god when I was a young kid even though my family didn't go to church, mainly because believing is just what everyone did. As I grew older I started to be able to think for myself, and started to come to my own conclusions about what was going on. So I guess I've been an Atheist for a long time, but I just recently went "public" with it. Within the past year I started really reading up on Atheism, watching debates, educating myself on religion(mainly reading about Christianity), being a lot more open with my thoughts on religion, and stuff like that. So I guess I'm still fairly early on in my Atheist experience.

So there ya go. A quick intro. Hopefully it wasn't too wordy or boring.
