The other bad guys are the Republicans. They could've ensured a better system but instead spent their wad trying to fuck up every attempt until we compromised on this abortion.

You guys live in the most prosperous first world country, yet the government can't even provide affordable healthcare for its citizens? It seriously baffles me that a lot of Americans actually think universal health care is a bad idea.

We're the land of the free .. corporations. The rest of us fight over crusts of bread.

So Why does medicine cost so much in the USA? A general practitioner in the USA makes, on average, pretty much the same as one in the UK , nurses are are a bit more but where are the other costs? Obviously the obscene profits go to the shareholders of medical companiesIts not that you need extra funding -the funding is there already. What you need to do is break the Medical-Industrial complex which is probably the largest bilking operation in the USA today.

Exactly. We're being bled. Swear to gawd, it is guillotining time!

The way Republicans fight tooth and nail over Obamacare, and how they've convinced so many people that Americans should only be given health care if they can afford it, there's no way they would ever allow Obama to push the single-payer system we desperately need.

Can't really think of Obama as the enemy because he's lucky he got away with this much. As on so many other issues, the enemy of the American citizen is the Republican party.

And,of course, it was Mitt the Shit's plan in Massachusetts and before that it was designed by Bob Dole in the mid 90's.

When Obama endorsed it the republicunts couldn't run away from it fast enough which tells you far more about those cocksuckers than it does about the Affordable Care Act.

True but of course the popularity of the non-populist, republicunt party is owing to the enormous amount of uneducated stupid we have over here. So our number one enemy has to be ourselves. But give them credit for preying on all that stupid effectively.

When I was young, there was a god with infinite power protecting me. Is there anyone else who felt that way? And was sure about it? but the first time I fell in love, I was thrown down - or maybe I broke free - and I bade farewell to God and became human. Now I don't have God's protection, and I walk on the ground without wings, but I don't regret this hardship. I want to live as a person. -Arina Tanemura

I'm a voter. It's partially my responsibility.

I find the statement "no snowflake feels responsible for the avalanche" to be reflective of the American people not taking the blame for electing divisive ideologues and encouraging hyper-partisanship over getting things done with the occasional ideological split.
