Thats the stuff that drew me to computer programming at one time, it can be a versatile field. In the end I hated the idea of spending my life chained to a desk. Bad enough I am now

Reefer short for Transport refrigeration or refrigerated trucks. I started my own business 10 years ago (was a partner in a failed one 2 years before that, worked in the industry 10 years before that.) 5 years ago bought a franchise, branched out into building refrigerated liners for cargo vans, Came up with my own formula of insulation for cargo vans. (we can get negitive temps in vechicals that were not possiable before, with equipment 1/2 the size perviously thought possiable. we build them smaller light 10x's more effecient.)

Coperate took interest, became a national trainer for the brand of refrigeration unit we sold, 2 years ago. after a two week trainning course was ask my opinion on some equipment in development, I took the schematics and redesigned it, and brought an all electric/battery powered unit to market (never been done before in this industry.) This unit can run up to 8 hours continually on battery power. We sold a small test fleet to a company in NYC. They just order a few more. when these are delivered all testing will be complete and we will be ready to change this market.

in june of this year, Was asked to develop another hybrid type of refrigeration system that banks or stores all the cold energy a sysytem makes so nothing is waisted. Completed that project in Nov. filed and received my first patten at the first of the year. We have great interest in this system, and it could be potentially bigger than the battery powered unit. Then i was asked to make it bigger to cool/freeze one of my vans.. we did that. Once the system is fully charged up it can maintain cooler temps (35*F) in the van up to 8 hours with out any power supplying the system. To supply the system just start the van or plug it in to a 120Vac outlet.
That system is currently being marketed with promising potential. we are looking to begin manfucturing this system in house. Which will allow us to pass on the dealership to someone else.

plus I've been asked to look at a few other projects, which look to be even more promising...

None of which would be possiable if not for the guidance and hedging of God.

Used to be a musician, now I'm a luthier. That means I make and sell guitars and mandolins, along with the odd specialty piece.

The big downside to being self employed is that when I call in sick, the boss ALWAYS knows I'm lying.
