Jesus must be proud.

Because as he preached so frequently, "As long as I've got mine, fuck the rest."

Jesus preached taht we help the poor, which I agree we should do and which I also do. He also preached "do not steal." Everyone wants more taxes as long as they're taking it from somebody else. My comment was not meant to be uncaring of people's plights. I worked minimum wage jobs through high school and college. Minimum wage jobs were never meant to provide a living. Small businesses are often operating on a very narrow profit margin and an increase in the minimum wage could put them out of business. Democrats don't care about people like that or middle income workers who have also been squeezed from both ends with stagnate wages and increased taxes. Then I have to listen to to all the mindless comments about republicans. Look at yourself and decide how much you're doing to help the poor and needy.

If you feel the government collecting such larges taxes is stealing, perhaps you should be questioning our inflated defense budget or our propensity for corporate handouts instead of bitching that people are getting free health care.

If an employer can't afford to pay their employees a living wage they shouldn't be in business.

Now, pap, that's just downright un-Amurrican. This country was built on wage slavery, by gum.

Health care is free now? Can you point me to that plan on the Marketplace website? I'd love to find that one, or least one that I can afford. Sorry but $100/month with a $6k deductible isn't reasonable or cheap (for me, and probably most other people the law was supposed to help).

Isn't it nice how the individual is mandated to buy it now but businesses who were supposed to be mandated to provide it keep getting it delayed, now til 2016? Apparently, money for his corporate buddies is the type of change our President seeks.

1) I get paid minimum wage. Do you know how low that is?
2) I work, at most, 7 hrs a day with just one 20 minute break in there. That can be more than a little tiring.
3) I work in a call center where I call people to do political surveys all day. This usually means they hang up on me immediately, but some of them yell/curse at me first.
4) I haven't even been getting the full 7 hrs a day lately. This week, the longest I've worked has been almost 6 hrs.
5) I have no car and I have to leave for work a little over two hours before my shift starts to catch the bus and get there on time.
6) I get off usually around 10 or 11 and can't catch the bus home that late, so I have to rely on my boyfriend to get me a ride home. His car is kinda beat up and it's costing us a fortune in gas to get me there and back.

Now I've come to realize another problem

7) The great majority of the work I do seems to be for the Republican party. A lot of these surveys tell me to ask leading or loaded questions. For example, they might ask something like "If you heard that __Insert_Democratic_candidate___ sacrificed babies to Satan every night, would you be more likely or less likely to vote for him?"

I feel dirty. I also need a new/better job (hopefully one that allows me to complete school).

At least you can get free health care which will be paid for by the money they steal from me.

So many things wrong with that. The rest of the group brought up most of it, but I'll point out a biggie: I live in Texas. I mean, seriously, have you ever heard of Rick Perry? Hell, we're the state that put Ted Cruz in office.

That is all.

Oh jeez, I must be sobbering up. Now I feel just awful about what I said. I'm sorry you're such an asshole, asshole.
