'Chernobyl' was my one word response to EgoRaptor's misplaced affection for Soviet style communist control of nuclear power production. To understand my meaning, all one has to do is consider the cause and management of Chernobyl with the cause and managment of Fukushima.
We can deride the French for many reasons; however, their nuclear power program is the class of the planet, by far. Over 70% of French electicity is produced by nuclear power. This is pure opinion, but I think the French modelled their civilian nuclear program after Rickover's U.S. Navy nuclear requirements.
SSN-571 Nautilus was launched in 1954. This means for 60 years we have been intentionally submerging man and machine around a nuclear reactor. The other thing to consider is that the young 20 year old turning valve handwheels is now 80.

I am still wondering how people believe corporations are considered people and citizens!
The businesses do not follow major the laws of living beings. It never die! The accountability of the business is dubious at best! I wonder how the business must have a vote in politics, when the management team will have personal votes in the political system.

The thing with libertarianism, communism and other current ideologies is that they greatly underestimate human greed and thirst for power. Communism is well knows for his quick corruption rates, libertarianism I'd wager its even worse, simply because of the tendency to eliminate government from the equation.
Heck, even in current days, capitalism as regulated as it is, people find a way around to abuse it and influence politics for power & profit.
