Spring Showers Bring Summer Dresses

My boss does shit like that too. He's always bringing candy and stuff around. One time he brought doughnuts. I ate one...because hormones. Most of the time I decline, though, because my vice IS hot chocolate, and I like to have a cup of it instead of cheap, nasty candy.

Seriously, though, I'd been going to the gym off and on throughout fall and winter, then stopped for about 30 days between mid-January and now because of life bullshit (plus the place was packed with resolutioners who didn't fucking know how to read signs or diagrams on how to use machines or which they could even use).

It was nice to be back last week. The resolutioners are back on their couches. I seem to have pulled something in my back so I guess we'll see how I do tomorrow.

If you want a 'support' group, I'd actually check out some of the weight-loss subreddits. The people there are great, and appear to be much more helpful with day-to-day monitoring and all that.

My huge problem is I hate exercising. I'm not overweight, but I'm curvy and a baby made me a little deflated. I need to find the perfect way to tighten it back up, and I'm gonna try to get back to the old swimming routine.

And I should definitely eat healthier.

I'm not fond of exercise either, but I do it because I come from a long line of short plump women. It's not hard to pack on the pounds.

With warmer weather, though, comes opportunity to do what I DO love, which is hike or trail walk in the woods and take photos. The camera is really just a great reason to walk up or downhill or on some sort of resistance and a lot of squatting. The weight usually melts off with that, and I have something to show for it. Or, I take the dog for a long walk...

Why?

Seriously, why is it women always want to get into shape when they are already a shape! Curvy and a little deflated is not intrinsically better OR worse than "tightened up".

There are women who weigh more than I do who reduce me to a stammering 16 year old with an arch of an eyebrow, and women with tiny waists and big bewbs who make me feel Nauseous. And indeed vice versa.

Sometimes we're not the same shape we were a year ago and want to fit back in those clothes.

Sometimes our family health histories make our new shapes potentially dangerous (health risks associated with weight gain).

Sometimes we like maintaining a comfortable weight that allows our boyfriends/husbands to lift us up and screw us silly on the wall.

I expect everyone has their reasons.

Buy him a multi gym, make it his problem .

I get the concept . It just seems odd to me that the vast majority of women I know seem to be striving for something that the people who have achieved it... Are not happy with.

. It's like hair. There are people curling their straight hair whilst in the house next door someone else is straightening their curly hair.

I look goofy in sun dresses because I am so short and every dress I buy is too long.
