Your funeral songs

RE: Your funeral songs
My mother has already told me she wants "Spirit in the Sky" played at her funeral.

I would like one of my favorite songs at my own funeral. Such a beautiful piece.

Isn't "Spirit in the Sky" a bit cliché?
Even if the open windows of science at first make us shiver after the cozy indoor warmth of traditional humanizing myths, in the end the fresh air brings vigor, and the great spaces have a splendor of their own - Bertrand Russell

An acquaintance of mine made it very clear that Metallica's 'Wherever I May Roam' was to be played at his funeral on a "substantial system."

He was only in his 30's with a terminal disease when he made this request of his immediate family. I wasn't at the funeral, but I heard that his grandmother was absolutely appalled.

My mom is cliche, so it works for her.

Did that sound mean? Eh, she's just not an original/creative kind of person.

There was another one I was thinking of, but it's so sad. It makes me cry. I dunno if I would want that played at my funeral.

Anything by Slayer.

Seasons In the Abyss would do just well.

I've made it clear multiple times I want these songs played at my funeral:

No question about it. This one:

Jacob - fully agree on War of the Worlds. I own it on vinyl, CD and FLAC on my phone.

I'd be tempted by that song but I'd love:

I'd then follow up with:

And finish with:

Kuusi palaa, ja on viimeinen kerta kun annan vaimoni laittaa jouluvalot!
