Once again, the republicunts are proving themselves to be just a bunch of lying shits.... as if that were ever in doubt.

Quote:Some Republicans forget their passion for deficit reduction
Quote:Some of the most conservative members of Congress say they are ready to vote for a budget that would – at least on paper – balloon the deficit to more than $1 trillion by the end of the decade, all for the sake of eventually repealing the Affordable Care Act.
In a dramatic reversal, many members of the hard-line House Freedom Caucus said Thursday they are prepared later this month to support a budget measure that would explode the deficit and increase the public debt to more than $29.1 trillion by 2026, figures contained in the budget resolution itself.

and if ObamaCare is a complete failure, why the press to replace it with ANYTHING ?
No one will be worse off, after all . . . .
The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.

Quote:The Republican ‘Obamacare’ crusade is off to a very shaky start
Quote:The original GOP idea, of course, was “repeal and replace,” but that fell out of favor when it dawned on Republicans that replacing an effective reform system is extremely difficult, and they had no idea how to achieve their goals.
But as the new Congress gets underway, even “repeal and delay” is running into trouble. Bloomberg Politics reported today:
Quote:A fourth Republican senator has voiced strong doubts about the party’s current strategy to repeal Obamacare without detailing a replacement, more than enough to scuttle efforts to deliver swiftly on a central promise from President-elect Donald Trump.
Bob Corker of Tennessee told reporters Friday morning that he wanted a different approach.
“Repeal and replacement should take place simultaneously,” he said.
Trouble is, they have no fucking clue how to do it.

-however-
if you peel the Obamacare label off the carcass, it says Romneycare underneath.
if you peel that label off, you get that pervasive odor of Newt Gingrich and then another label that says Heritage Foundation.
Maybe it's fitting the Republicans shoot their own lame horse ?

"Wait a minute, you mean there's like millions of people who voted for us that are going to lose their healthcare and watch their loved ones get sick and/or die if we actually do what we said we were gonna do? Why didn't anyone tell us that?"
Then:
"Why are they so mad at us for not repealing it? Don't they know what would happen to them if we did? Quick: we need to bomb [shit-hole country no one gives a fuck about until we bomb it]."

...especially since that wasn't their goal before the ACA was implemented. Trump was talking about removing the restriction on selling health insurance across state lines. When they started asking him about people with pre-existing conditions and such, he started talking about "keeping" things in a law that he was trying to strike down. I still don't think that they will replace it with anything, they just want to get rid of it.
"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."
