Type the following words, say them aloud to yourself. You don't have to mean them. And of course, you can ask your God for forgiveness if you feel dirty afterwards. But prove that you're not actually buying into the crap you believe in based on fear by uttering the simple phrases, knowing "in your heart" what you actually think. Look, I'll try it from my end.

I don't mean any of that but it was fairly easy for me to type, knowing how meaningless the words actually are. Now you try:

First off, what the hell kind of language is "your mind is molested by fear"? Kind of a but pejorative perhaps? If the quest is" do you fear god" then you'll get a much more sensible response if you ask without the loaded bit. Especially since the bible specifically recommends that we SHOULD fear god. It could have been so simple.

By asking in such a childish way you also introduce reactance bias and a strong desire to tell you to fuck off because of the tone of the question. Nobody has to prove a thing to you!


I'm happy to say I fear god. Or to be more specific, I fear the absence of what perceive to be god. In that way I also fear my kids, my wife, my cat and my bottle of aberfeldy 1978. But I have to tell you that even if I didn't, I'd not be playing along.

10. Are you afraid that being around gay people will make you gay, or around black people will make you black?
11. Do you have nightmares about demons?
12. Do your children think they have an angel looking over them to keep the demons away?
13. Are you afraid of being struck by lightning when someone says something sacrilegious around you?

Some people believe that when you take a photograph of someone a little bit of their soul goes into your picture. Obviously not us. We know that a picture is just a picture.

So to prove it, I want you to find a picture of a loved one, preferably your child if you have one, if not any close and beloved family member will do.

Then I want you to stab the picture in the eyes and face repeatedly with a knife whilst repeating "I hope you get cancer and die in lingering terror and agony in a puddle of your own excrement". Obviously the picture is just a picture and since you don't ACTUALLY hope they get cancer and die, that doesn't matter. Then I'll believe you're not superstitious
