My dad is a wonderful man. He is incredibly generous to me and our family, he has helped me and helped find people to help me through my severe OCD, and uses his chruch to reach out to prisons and donate money to needy causes. He's been there for me my whole life. Should I trust him, or a bunch of random joes on the internet who says me and my family are idiots?

Your dad may at the same time do wonderful things for others, and still be fundamentally mistaken about other issues. Humans are usually inconsistent in some way.
For example, he has obviously instilled a terrible fear of hell in you, probably because he didn't know better, which is not wonderful at all but actually amounts to abuse.
