Let's say the multiverse theory is true, how would a Christian insert God...?

As an infinite omnipotent God you can't create only a single world. Also as I said above, if God creates so many worlds that each possible course of history is realized, he knows everything about this universe, but still any individual copy of you in a randomly picked universe is free in the sense that it is not predetermined what happens to you, and at the same time you were allowed to live out your life in all possible ways. Isn't that the best an all knowing all powerful god can do for you?

Referring to this...

The theory goes that if these universes are so numerous, there would almost certainly be one that is so startling similar to ours, that it would be a perfect clone. This is a matter of simple odds.

...does it not strike a believer as a little ridiculous that God would crate replicas of our special little world, with its special little people? If everyone ends up living out their existence in hundreds of exact clones, it begs the question, what's the point in that?

If the multiverse theory is indeed true, that cloned existences model would definitely be accepted as a fact.

Is he prone to mistakes? Does he lack foresight or have episodes of lesser cognitive thought?

Or does have to play by the laws of physics? Is he that weak?

If you were cognitively capable of inspecting multiple realities, in their entirety, without any division of your attention between them, wouldn't it follow that focusing on a single reality would get rather boring, if you're aware of the extents your consciousness could stretch to? It's not his fault that the variables of our universe turned out a planet with less than optimal settings.

Granted, that makes god a hugely detached jerk just looking for entertainment, but we already knew that just from the bible, multiverse or no. Tongue

God created everything. So everything is his fault...

I don't see the problem: copies which are in any way different from you in any point of their life are not clones but individuals in their own right, and those that are exactly the same are for all intents and purposes simply a second representation of the same you. You might even argue that they don't exist in any meaningful sense byt are just a redundancy in your description of the multiverse.

Then there doesn't exist a special relationship. That's intrinsically ridiculous. Why not create the perfect "me" in the first place? In the perfect world? With every possibility before me? And centuries to live?

Why create billions of flawed universes?

Why be so cruel and egotistical?

Creating the one perfect you is impossible if perfection includes the potential to develop in different ways. Creating one perfect predetermined you is like carving a statue in dead stone. Creating one you that is not predetermined would not ascertain that the.perfect you will result.

Anything is possible for God apart from when things are impossible for God?

Sure if you demand the ability to do logically inconsistent things for omnipotence, you can show that such a god is inconsistent or impossible already if theres only one universe. This has nothing to do wih whether a multiverse exists, and right now we argue what new arguments we get against god if there is a multiverse, and this is not one of them, is it?

I was simply positing that this renders the argument for God even more ridiculous and fallible.

A multiverse would have no logical necessity if God was the attributable reflection of the Christian God.

Say a parallel human race had an entirely different religious expression. I would expect an equally cogent model from both. Both would be essentially identical in conclusion, or one would be better, and we'd adopt the best.

The many religious models we have on this one planet are all equally cogent and that has solved nothing.

I don't understand that last sentence... Reflection, attributable?
