Seriously, I think what makes me so damn smart is that I totally embrace my averageness. There is no such thing as smart in any global, heirarchical way. And I'm just bright enough to realize that.
The god choice was for Frodo. I couldn't let him go there alone. Besides, though I don't call it god I honor what is best in me which isn't always at my disposal.

Nuh-uh. I AM the most average person in the whole wide world and that means that I am more average than ALL yooz. Neener neener! 
Seriously, though ... I am average in some ways, and also not average in some ways ... but ultimately I don't really know how to judge if I'm actually average or not, especially since I don't know the others well enough to compare them with myself.
Based on just my forum activities, however, I would consider myself to be somewhere in the "Top 20" members in this forum, if you want my honest opinion. 
But I feel that the last choice in the poll describes my self-image here the best.

I think that most of us would answer truly as "average"
Mind you, I am constantly amazed at the intellectual and knowledgeable acuity of the majority of posters on this site....

I went for average but I have delusions of being a top 20.
If you'd had a top 50 category I'd probably have gone for that.
I am quite bright - but the smartest here? How the fuck would I know that?
If you'd had a category "one of the top 20 smartest here" I might have gone for it.
So - average, my delusions of being special having eroded with time.
