Withering......
http://www.dailykos.com/story/2013/06/28...tail=email

Quote:For the past two decades, there has been a rapid national shift away from identification with organized religion. And last year, according to the best available measurement of long-term trends in American religious identification, a new milestone was reached. More Americans between the ages of 18-30 now identify with no religion than identify as either Protestant or Catholic.

On top of the fact that the republicunts are dying out is the really good news that xtians are dying out, also.

I think the writer reached the wrong conclusions. Romney actually picked up two more States than McCain had won. His data may be skewed by a geographical bias. I anticipate the division to exist for a long time before the Repubs finally give up the ghost.

The next Repub candidate, whoever it may be, will win at least 22 to 24 States. But he will lose the election.

The sad part is that the age demographic that the Republican/Religious party draws most of it's current strength is the same age demographic you are a part of.

So all you guys are going to kick the bucket around the same time.

Life is pretty fucked up, ain't it?

Peace out!

Romney actually got 56% of the 65 and over vote but only 52% of the 50-64 group - where I am...for another few months.

I doubt my opinion of republicunts will have improved by late September.

That Seattle Times analysis is typical BS because it ignores the fact that the voters in the Red States simply don't count in Presidential elections. It only matters what the Dems and the Independents do in the Blue States.

As you can see from the map most of the Blue States are heavily white and those are the folks that Obama won. Romney could have gotten every single vote in the Red States and he would have lost. That's why they want to split California into six different States.

All the Dem candidate has to do is to focus on the Blue States and make sure that the Dems in those States show up to vote for him/her. It's a waste of time and money to even visit the Red States because he won't win them.
