San Francisco has to be pretty high up on the WBC's shit list to begin with.

Wow. Sorry to hear about that.

I guess that's always a risk to being part of an evil organization, whether it's the mafia or a hate group. I can imagine the politics would be cutthroat as the path to the crown is often overtop the corpses of those who thought they were your friends.

Whops, I totally misread both Esquilax's and Stimbo's post. Sorry about that.

Maybe Fred Phelps had a moment of remorse and renounced all the hate he preached? More likely, it was internal politics. I agree, I'd like to know more about that story.

That they feed on their own is both unsurprising and on record.

The Phelps clan may be out of step with what passes for 21st Century American morality but they are close to what the Bible teaches. It's unfortunate for them that they live in 21st Century America instead of 1st Century Judea.

Here's what Nathan himself had to say:

Quote: The ex-communicated part is still not clear to me. I only have hearsay on the reason, and two different versions, so I won't comment at this point other than to say he was moved into another house and watched over so he wouldn't harm himself.
So, basically, Nate has no more info than we do.
