RE: It's raining
We get tons of precipitation every year here. When it happens, I hope it's rain, because I'm sick of snow.

RE: It's raining
It's been cloudy and grey and raining and cold for four days here.

This is bullshit and NOT North Carolina weather.

It makes me melancholy and wish I could write dark emo things on a typewriter by a wet window with a glass of scotch in one hand.

Sorry Miss Quill.

It is a pic from a geostationary satellite, of the Pacific Ocean. It depicts a long cloud band stretching from Asia towards Antarctica. The caption that came across my FB-news feed was
"Equator being pulled South towards Antartica...... The equatorial flow is being dragged South, let's hope this changes soon, very soon."

It does seem strange. Here we are blaming a shift in the Trade Winds across the Pacific for some of our strange weather.

Meteorologically stupid and I have no idea what that means

Oh I wouldn't say you are stupid Miss Quill for not being interested in meteorology. Here it is an underlying concern.... driest continent on the planet as such......

I am not as educated as some on here about meteorology, so here goes...

There are known "weather patterns" that coincide with drought or rain here in Oz, the implications of this occurrence (the cloud band that usually settles around the equator) is something akin to the fluctuations of the Arctic jet stream that America experienced this winter.

I too am learning.
