5 people deconverted so far.

Possibly the stupidest thing I've heard today.

For an encore, maybe go to an AA meeting and say" drinking is bad, you should stop". Who knows what your success rate might be. Dodgy

You prove to us how something which by definition is not provable should be provable. Then we can stop thinking that you're being an idiot.

I'm not trying to prove that something which is unprovable is provable.
What I am saying is that you should not believe that something exists if it is indistinguishable from something that does not exist(which means that you had no contact with it personally and have no evidence to back it up).

Nice cop out, you got there.

You still haven't told us how are we supposed to distinguish your unprovable deity, with the nonexistent?

And if we can't distinguish between your unprovable (I'd add 'un-evidenced' to the description of your deity) and a deity that is nonexistent, should we be punished by said deity if we disbelieve it exists?

You'd believe if you just opened your heart" is a terrible argument for religion. It's basically saying, "If you bias yourself enough, you can convince yourself that this is true." If religion were true, people wouldn't need faith to believe it -- it would be supported by good evidence.

You're not trying to prove it you're demanding illogical evidence.

Again, what kind of proof would you accept?

RE: Informing people there is no god.
Since he is omniscient and omnipotent he could find a best possible way to convince every person on the planet without a shadow of a doubt that he exists. And if he is omnipotent he could do it.

But if you ask me what would be a good start then I guess an interview of him outside of new york while surrounded by hundreds of reporters and scientists broadcasting the whole thing all over the world on TV. After that he can try to prove us that he is god with the best explanations and proofs he can come up with. Let scientists run tests to see he is not a prankster.
And send a message to everybody on the planet in their language.
Also he can solve bunch of unsolved math problems. Do something superb here and there like move planets and stars around and stuff. That will be cool.
There are plenty ways of demonstrating extraordinary nature.
Also he can cure all diseases on the planet. Make sure everybody gets enough food. That way he can earn my respect.

I am not trying to prove anything I am saying that a god which does not manifest in reality is indistinguishable from the one that does not exist and should not be believed in.
