According to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics for the month of February 2014, the unemployment rate in Texas is 5.7%. You can look up all the states if you want, but I didn't see any major liberal states at the low end. Here's a few examples of prominent "blue " states:

New York - 6.8
D C - 7.4
California - 8.0
Illinois - 8.7 (Obama's own)
