God designed us perfectly right?

Very little air moves through the sinuses, they are there to produce mucous to help filter air as the mucous travels into the nasal passage, also they help to humidify the air if needed. The sinuses may help to amplify our voices. They do not pass cold to the brain. You still haven't addressed how to rid the lungs of fluid if the air passage bypasses the throat. How about when the nasal passage is closed due to swelling during sickness. How about accomplishing resuscitation, nose to nose wouldn't get it now would it. Like I said a little thought about the benefits of the design would go a long way. You are only interested in trying to tear down God's design, you are blind to the benefits, I say that's pathetic.

Funny thing is, under causes of pulmonary edema, every cause listed seems to be due to respiration, or the malfunction/imperfection of other organs.

If I didn't know better, it would almost seem like the "perfect design" claim came first, and you're scrambling to apologize for why, rather than critically examining human biology.

I'd offer but I don't have the right tool for the job.

There are so many answers to that question if one would take the time to THINK.

And this, right here, shows the fundamentally backwards way that you're approaching this question. You're apologizing for design flaws in the system you're seeing, not explaining why such a design was implemented in the first place. Your answer is that we need these things to clear fluid from our lungs, but my response should have been very obvious if you were thinking as you admonish us for not doing; why design a system that allows fluid to build up in our lungs at all?

Just look at it from a god-down perspective, rather than the ad hoc way you're doing now; don't tell us what the purpose of our various organs are now, think about why a conscious designer implementing a perfect design for a species of immortal beings whom he loves would ever go ahead with this design.

Why would god give us a set of lungs that need fluid cleared out of them, when he didn't have to?
