To abort or not to abort

RE: To abort or not to abort
I believe that you shouldn't have an abortion unless the mother's life is in danger, but I can't argue against terminating before the the unborn has developed a brain. Specifically the neo cortex.

Heathen, let me see if I can change your mind on this.
Say my kidneys are failing. Would it be ok for me to kidnap you and hook myself up to your kidneys in order to keep myself alive? The answer is no.
So why does a foetus have that right? You claim they are people but you are in fact giving them more rights than people. No one has a right to life at the expense of someone else, unless that someone else is willing.

'You can have all the faith you want in spirits, and the afterlife, and heaven and hell, but when it comes to this world, don't be an idiot. Cause you can tell me you put your faith in God to put you through the day, but when it comes time to cross the road, I know you look both ways.' - Dr House

“Young earth creationism is essentially the position that all of modern science, 90% of living scientists and 98% of living biologists, all major university biology departments, every major science journal, the American Academy of Sciences, and every major science organization in the world, are all wrong regarding the origins and development of life….but one particular tribe of uneducated, bronze aged, goat herders got it exactly right.” - Chuck Easttom

Heartbeat, potential..killing potential isnt like killing a baby..but still..okay, my opinion has changed. See, i was christian and the effects are still lingering. But once it has arms and legs, its alive. Anytime after that the government needs to review each case. I love free women...but dammit it should be an issue. And this would be if all these christian hypocrites in government werent mindfucking us. Oh, added expenses..fuck you obama Btw..Im heavily intoxicated so i might come back later like oh fuck me

That's not a very good analogy. It's odd that anyone would compare a fetus to a body part. There's a big difference. You're saying it's better to prevent someone from being inconvenienced for nine months over someone who could live 80+ years. That doesn't seem fair to me.

It's always explained in those instances. Doctors weigh up the risks and inform the parents. As far as I'm concerned, in this instance, the life of a living, breathing person - the mother - has precedence over that of the child - especially if the child is not at the age of viability.
Dying to live, living to die.
