Why did god create diseases?

RE: Why did god create diseases?
The view that's been pointed out to me relatively recently, which was kind of eye opening, is that the God of the Bible is a classic abuser. He tells you you're worthless, and that only he could possibly love you. If you reject him, he'll hurt you. If you try to love him, but aren't good enough, he'll hurt you. Christianity really is Stockholm Syndrome combined with shared psychotic disorder.
That's MISTER Godless Vegetarian Tree Hugging Hippie Liberal to you.

Cancer and depression in particular.

And if God is omniscient and loves us, why does he/she/it/they allow us to sin and catch these horrific pathogens?

In the greater scheme of things, given overpopulation, for example, population control is a good thing. Promoting human longevity above all else is flawed.

He's gracious and longsuffering, putting up with our crap until everyone who's going to be saved has been born and saved. After that, look out.

Okay, I do have to object to this one, given that there's a much kinder way to deal with population control if you're god, and that's just to make humans less fertile.

The design you're positing is actually more cruel, where instead of just making it so we don't have so many kids to tax the environment, god instead creates death dealing microbes to cull the population at the top.
