It's our fault for making the choice to sin and forcing god to inflict all of those maladies upon us. But it's not his fault, he loves us too much!

Yes.

We don't deserve life - we did nothing to get it. We don't deserve the privilege of having each other as a family.

Personally I find life to be a net positive, despite disease and other hardships. When someone gives me a net positive, I'm thankful for it. I don't bitch that they could have possibly given me something better. But hey, that's just me.
