Everything known of 'poppie' is based on the Christians who answered his written works. So if not for the church this pseudo philosopher and biblical historian would have been forgotten.

Since you did not look anything up before you posted your rant I challenge you to look up the original answers given to poppie when he first challenged the bible 1700 years ago. Because again if not for the quotations in those answer given and preserved by the church poppie would be lost to time.

During his retirement in Sicily, Porphyry wrote Adversus Christianos (Against the Christians) which consisted of fifteen books. Some thirty Christian apologists, such as Methodius, Eusebius, Apollinaris, Jerome, etc., responded to his challenge. In fact, everything known about Porphyry’s arguments is found in these refutations, largely because Theodosius II burned every copy he could find in A.D. 435 and again in 448. (Bolding mine)

Should we be thankful to the church for preserving their responses to Porphyry after burning the copies of the original? You're ok with that?

My quibble is with the word "disputed." When even xtian bible publishers include disclaimers about the authenticity of their own work there is no "dispute."

I guess you still have figured out how to do a google search yet huh?

Maybe I'm pushing too hard, you should probably stick to mastering how to wipe your butt, before bombarding your self with things such as world history..

Seems like you have nothing to substantiate that claim, so you revert to childish insults.

You'd think it would be easy to provide evidence of movements to wipe out the bible.

I'll show you an example: Christians have tried repeatedly to wipe out nonbelievers.
