I should know better? You used an incorrect word in a sentence, someone corrected you. I didn't correct you. I only had anything to say when you insisted the word you used was correct. You were wrong. Yet even when proven wrong you kept at it. Hence I thought you were trolling. I laugh at trolls. I have every right to laugh at trolls. My being a moderator has nothing to do with that and your insistence that "I should know better" because I'm a mod is even more laughable.
But I only say this because the subject hasn't been dropped. If you admit you were wrong in the first place (which you were) then nobody would make an issue at all. As it happens you continue to troll. So I'll continue to prod. And laugh.
*edit* And FYI, it's not an argument anyone needs to win. I don't think anyone really cares about the original issue. But if you directly attack me I'm going to respond. Your comments about ego's and calling me in particular stupid, is not something I'm going to ignore.

You maybe right but I will not let anyone tell me what I should write, this is not a forum on the study of grammar, they could easily see what I was saying, why make the big deal out of it that was made, that is what pissed me of, and you coming into the stupid argument only added fuel to the fire. If I was spoken decently from the start I may have well agreed, but this forum is full of idiots who think they know everything, their actually in a lot of ways worse than the Christians. I will now leave it at that, but I bet you others here cannot.

I don't really give a shit about the argument anymore, you were demonstrably wrong and that's the end of the discussion, and it doesn't matter to me whether you still think you're right or not, but I will point out one thing: moderator or not, we're still users of this site, we still have views, and we're still allowed to post and contribute to the threads. We aren't paid staff that are here to work and facilitate your posting. So this claim that we've somehow come off our pedestals to lambast you is simply erroneous; there is no pedestal.
We're users, and we're people. This isn't like a robot suddenly gained sentience to tell you that your vocabulary sucks.
