In TN, there is a place called Shipley's that has the best glazed donuts I have ever had. I am pretty sure they lace the glaze with crack. I have to get rid of all the evidence when I go there. I have some body dysmorphia issues, and m'lady tells me I look fat when she finds out I go there, which sets that off.

I've been there! The apple fritters almost made me religious!

I recall when I lived in San Antonio, circa 2002/03, that the grand opening of a Krispy Kreme made a splash on the local news. I remember that people traveled from out of town to participate. I can't find an article, but while searching ran across the Krispy Kreme Grand Opening page on their website. People actually camp out for this.

There are links to rules, midnight opening rules, and a waiver and release of liability form. Out of control.

The general rule of thumb that any true Krispy Kreme patron knows is that three donuts in 5 minutes will cause your carotid to spontaneously tie in a bowline knot.
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

I do not eat your false carbs, combined with fat. Tomorrow I will go into battle, as my father Oden has taught me.
