I am pro-life in this sense that I believe that all life should be preserved within reason.

I am pro-choice in the sense that I am no so arrogant as to think what I believe should have any bearing on what another woman does with the contents of her own uterus.

I've always felt that views like this are copouts.

And the point that you've consistently failed to address is that everyone else's right to life does not include the right to hook themselves up to another person's body against their will to pick up the slack for deficiencies in their own body.

You fail to address it because you literally can't, it's the fact that makes your position untenable, and you're too much of an arrogant coward to ever admit that your position might be a single iota weak.

Blastocysts are completely replaceable. It is the parental investment over time that makes one potential life more feasible than another, and hence the corresponding fetus more valuable than another.
(A fetus is not a potential life. That's semantic stupidity.)

I'm for a massive thinning of the herd. The best possible outcome for earth will not be achieved by maximizing the human population. Sometimes less is more. But when it comes to biodiversity more is best. So every abortion, while it may make those involved wistful/sad, is a step in the right direction.
