But they do those abortions when they have to, nonetheless... although they are very hush hush about it. Wink

Of course, it is no real secret that theists act quite the little antichrists when it suits them, and so long as it is done in privacy so as to not ruin the delusion of piousness.

In more ways than one, keep it in the family is their motto.

So that got me wondering. If future generations have a right to a clean and livable earth why don't they have a right to exist? Essentially a conclusion of the pro abortion movement is that future people don't have a right to exist.

Ah, becasue not granting everything an automatic right to eventual existence does not mean enough would not exist anyway?

Damn! I knew you always stretch very hard to achieve the degree of stupid expected of a theist, but your herculeanly rubbery effort really paid off this time.

It doesn't matter that enough will likely exist in the future. If every individual has a right not to reproduce and instead utilize all the resources they can obtain on themselves instead of children then all of humanity has the right to do the same.

Why is it that if you decide to have children in the future I have to exercise care of the world to preserve their well being?

Policy deals with reality. One does not make policy based on impossible hypothetical case where everyone in the world makes exactly the same choices. One makes policy based on the outcome from the probable range distribution of choices that the people of the world would actually make.

Because quid pro quo.

If you don't, then others will ensure your current well being would be less than you desire.

Did it serve some perverse psychological need for you to come across as being so obtuse that these things need to be explained to you?

Am I missing something here? Last I checked, every individual does have the right not to reproduce.

You missed the fact that theists are too obtuse to realize what that means.

Well I do think we have a moral obligation to future generations and thus we should curb our behavior that leads to global warming....but I am pro-life. However I don't see how such a position would be consistent with being pro abortion rights other than that is the way you want the world to be(which is not a persuasive argument).

If we have a moral obligation to preserve the world in a livable state for the unborn, that implies the unborn have a right to a livable world that we must respect. The unborn can only have such a right if they have a right to live in the first place. Abortion rights basically implies that the unborn have no right to live.....thus there is a contradiction.

Abortion is a matter concerning the fate of one "person". Climate change is a matter concerning the fate of humanity.

The term is 'pro-choice', by the way, not "pro-aborting every baby in the world".

It leads to you being considered an idiot for floating such an absurd proposition.
