Not for nothing, but perhaps the two of you should address your comments about Minimalist to Minimalist.

I would be more than happy to debate Minimalist, but he isn't interested in having a conversation. Minimalist is only interested in spreading hate.

Workers are getting fucked because of automation and not because of CEO pay. There is a less of a need for workers because machines can do it better and cheaper. Less need translates into being in a weaker position to negotiate a higher wage.

They're getting fucked because CEOs are sending jobs overseas and making other bad decisions concerning workers in order to grow their bottom line.

Yes, it would. It totally would.

Discussing this is important. It's not about instigating class warfare. CEOs directly affect the lives of millions of people and the fact that they keep getting richer while workers continue to suffer is a disturbing trend.

Well, instead of doing that, I think that there is a better system. Why not give off a portion of the yearly earnings of a company to the workers as a bonus?
Reflect the profits on the workers who make them possible, and you have yourself people that will work even harder.
Its a win-win for everyone.

The so-called debate you've presented others has been composed mainly of you making half baked assertions and saying "nu uh" when called out on said ill cooked goods.

Given that, I wouldn't "debate" you either

According to the Forbes Article, most CEOs took home 379 times the average staffers salary. Since these CEOs work for companies which typically employ 10,000 of workers dividing the CEO pay wouldn't make a big difference.

According to the Forbes article the Walmart CEO makes 17.6 million a year. According to Wikipedia Walmart employs 2.2 million world wide. If you took the Walmart CEO's pay and gave it to all the employees, each would almost get a 1 cent per hour raise(assuming a 40 hour work week) Since Walmart hires lots of part-timer...each employee might see a 2 or 3 cent per hour raise. Not enough to make a significant difference in their lives.

I have no problem with wealth redistribution. I do have a problem with monkeying with labor markets to do it.

RE: WORKERS OF THE WORLD
Walmart reported over $17 billion in profits in 2012. That would amount to around $8,500 per worker, and it was profit that exists only because of the efforts of these workers. High-paid executives can't do everything. A huge chunk of that reported profit belonged to the workers, but they were only given little more than the bare minimum the company could get away with.

The company can absolutely afford to pay workers a living wage. They don't want to.

That's okay Moros.....I don't consider you to be the sharpest either....as such....I really have no desire to debate you.

Minimalist is blinded by the hate within him....but I not ready to say that he is necessarily a dumb ass just yet. I would like to see how he is when he isn't hating.

Are we talking about a "living wage" or the salary of CEO's? The claim in the OP is workers of the world are being fucked by high CEO salaries. I just don't believe this is the case and apparently the numbers do not support it.

CEO wages aren't the problem. Living Wages make some better at the expense of others and thus cause problems instead of solving them.

A universal basic income or negative income tax insures everyone has the ability to maintain a sufficient standard of living worthy of the dignity of a human being without monkeying in the markets.
