Or, maybe.... because assuming everyone who doesn't follow your belief system is a fool, is being a fool to start with... maybe god will reward those who stand up for what they honestly believe is right and decent, instead of following blind instructions.

Second, you also imply that your god is too stupid to tell the difference between someone who is following what he says to do because that person honestly believes that's the right thing to do, and a person who is doing it "just in case" it's the right thing to do.
Maybe when Pascal's wager comes up, it'll be you who fails because god will condemn you for thinking he's an idiot.

Not really, God may reward and respect the cautious and prudent over the self assured ,overly confident fool.

And once again the name calling.

Let me go back to something I've said many times: A simple perusal of the bible shows that your god is a mass murdering, egocentric. misogynistic, genocidal, slavery promoting, evil piece of shit that is not worthy of my worship.

If it was proven to exist I would have to believe but no way would I worship such an evil creature.

Not really. I'd have to believe you to spend half a second worrying about it. Looks like you're not only a liar, but also a failure.

By the way:

Have you come up with a way of explaining this, so your repeated claims aren't obvious lies? Or are you going to run away like a coward again?

Proverbs 28:1 ESV The wicked flee when no one pursues, but the righteous are bold as a lion.

Revelation 21:8 ESV But as for the cowardly, the faithless, the detestable, as for murderers, the sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, their portion will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death.

Sucks for you. That's 4 now.

1. How can you possibly know what God wants you to do to get to Heaven? The Bible's no good - different translations, different interpretations. Suppose the scribes left out something like, 'Verily I say unto you, only he that bloweth his nose during the dark of the moon shall attain the Kingdom of Heaven.' One misplaced hooter honk and you're done.

2. What if God honours free inquiry and honest doubt more than belief based on tradition, a mistranslated tome, and fear? If that's the case, then Heaven must be cheek to jowl with nonbelievers.

3. Aren't you going to feel silly if the Hindus have got it right?

4. Let's assume that there is an atheist who allocates his time and spare financial resources helping the poor. He volunteers at the local homeless shelter, he provides free job training, the spends his Sundays helping out at the local children's burn ward. Are you honestly comfortable worshipping a God who would condemn such a person to an eternity of suffering for the act of honest disbelief?

5. How foolish are you going to feel if it turns out that there IS a Hell, but Blaise Pascal is the only one there?

Pascal's Wager

Hellloooooooo???? Have you read about Pascal's Wager yet, Artur?

I'm just gonna keep replying to myself here until Artur acknowledges whether he's read up on Pascal or not.

I'm not a gambler ,but the cost benefit ratio is on the side of the believer
who risks nothing but gives up disease ,alcoholism, crime and early death
and could pssibly gain eternal life in a state of bliss.

If ,you're wrong ,all you gain is some guilty pleasures and lose an eternity.

If I'm right I give up vice and crime and perversions but gain an eternity .
its a no brainer ,except for those with no brains

I just finished reading the RULES ..and this could get me banned.. so here's your big chance to get me dumped. start complaining now ..

Anyone can throw in "eternity" to make the consequences of not comforming to some bullshit seem high. As a result, your christain bullshit is far, far from being the only bullshit in the cesspool of moral confidence scams playing this cheap trick, nor is your bullshit the least repugnant of them all by a long shot.

So try again.

An eternity is a long time.

There are so many gods, even if we assume that any of the human religions are right instead of none of them, that our chance of actually picking the right god to believe in is pretty much infinitely small, so why bother?

If anything, going atheist is your best bet, because you have less of a chance of pissing off the right god for believing in a specifically wrong god.

RE: And if you are wrong , eternity is a long time.
How can you be so arrogant to think that your actions during a few short years on earth would decide your fate for an eternity?

And another thing:
But there are no gods which threaten us, and, even if there were, we would not be there to be punished. Our souls are flimsy things which are dissipated when we die, and even if the stuff of which they were made were to survive intact, that would be nothing to us, because what matters to us is the continuity of our experience, which is severed by the parting of body and soul. It is not sensible to be afraid of ceasing to exist, since you already know what it is like not to exist; consider any time before your birth-was it disagreeable not to exist?

Teaching of Epicurus

Edit:
"Don't fear god." The gods are happy and immortal, as the very concept of 'god' indicates. But in Epicurus' view, most people were in a state of confusion about the gods, believing them to be intensely concerned about what human beings were up to and exerting tremendous effort to favor their worshipers and punish their mortal enemies. No; it is incompatible with the concept of divinity to suppose that the gods exert themselves or that they have any concerns at all. The most accurate, as well as the most agreeable, conception of the gods is to think of them, as the Greeks often did, in a state of bliss, unconcerned about anything, without needs, invulnerable to any harm, and generally living an enviable life.
Isn't it enough to see that a garden is beautiful without having to believe that there are fairies at the bottom of it too?
