Bible prophecies

RE: Bible prophecies
There's another that science is now warning us about, and if we do not stop the carbon emissions it very well may not be reversible and the end of man will come. The very science that people here says will destroy Christianity is bring truth to the scriptures, God said that if Christ did not return at His appointed time man would destroy himself. There's enough oil and coal to last another 300 years, if an alternative source of energy is not developed we want last 300 years.

God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

RE: Bible prophecies
Although far more feasible now than when first proposed in the late 70s, orbiting solar power satellites still look to be 'somewhat' unfeasible now, but maybe not to much further into the future.

I'm of the opinion hydrogen fusion is going to remain unfeasible for very, very much longer. (I do note, detonating a large hydrogen bomb, at extreme depths, and then utilizing the resulting contained heat to boil water and spin a turbine might be 'practical', from a strictly engineering stand point, but will remain unrealized from sociological constraints)

And where, pray tell, did 'god' say that?

Quote:19 “This is what the Sovereign Lord says: When I make you a desolate city, like cities no longer inhabited, and when I bring the ocean depths over you and its vast waters cover you, 20 then I will bring you down with those who go down to the pit, to the people of long ago. I will make you dwell in the earth below, as in ancient ruins, with those who go down to the pit, and you will not return or take your place[c] in the land of the living. 21 I will bring you to a horrible end and you will be no more. You will be sought, but you will never again be found, declares the Sovereign Lord.”

Yet...it still remains and even in the apologetic nonsense that you posted all they can do is make excuses for why god is such a fuck up. Truly, gods should be made of sterner stuff!

You know. I bet I could go to Lebanon and buy a T-Shirt that says "I went to Tyre, Lebanon and got this lousy t-shirt because they are still fucking here to sell them!"

And the xtians will shriek and gnash their teeth and beat their breasts but Tyre remains.

Fuck them all.

Tyre is described as being in the Garden of Eden. It's king ticked off the Emperor and was exiled. It's probably where the Adam and Eve story came from.

One of the commandments is that the people shouldn't eat shellfish. That doesn't make sense for a bunch of desert goat ropers since they wouldn't have access to shrimp and lobster. It could have been an economic sanction against the Tyre fishermen as a punishment for their king's action of collaborating with the enemy.

That is not a prophecy, can you please cite where did God say that ?
Plus, Christ said that he will come back pretty soon, he did not, so can we agree that that is a failed prophecy ?

From the Southern Baptist Leadership Convention in 2008:
Quote:"The signatories pledged to do their part to fight global warming "without any further lingering over the basic reality of the problem or our responsibility to address it. Humans must be proactive and take responsibility for our contributions to climate change -- big and small."

I've dealt with this one before. The apologetic gymnastics were so good they'd make the matrix characters look like amateurs.

One of the answers I got was that Jesus didn't mean a literal coming back. He was referring to the transfiguration on the hill. Made me wanna cry!
8000 years before Jesus, the Egyptian god Horus said, "I am the way, the truth, the life."

Surely this is just fitting non-descriptive, vague ancient writings that could in no way predict (aside blind luck) the context of future generations?

Nobody here takes stock of the bible and its 'prophecies' GC, you should know that.,

Besides, I can't remember seeing in the bible where it gives us a viable, long term energy course beyond fossil fuels, or indeed the methodology to master fusion power etc.

It's such nonsense. Because a timeframe is undefined they can claim that effectively any time will fulfill it. Like that somehow adds legitimacy to such a bogus and irrelevant nonsensical piece of fiction.

Just redefine words or reinterpret meanings and keep doing it until you've pulled the wool over peoples eyes or succeeded in making such a gish-gallop of rebuttals that nobody knows where they stand any more.

Better answer would be that he had too much of that wine he made, because of that he made some promises he could not keep ( but that would be to rational for them Smile ).
