Is "Islamophobia" the same as antisemitism?

RE: Is "Islamophobia" the same as antisemitism?
Yes, they're both forms of prejudice.

What pisses me off is when the label of islamophobia is used to silence people who state any opposition to Islam. When I watched the 'Muslamic Rape Gangs' video (which spawned the Muslamic Ray Guns vid), I saw unthinking prejudice; I saw islamophobia. When Islamic groups decried that video because of it's clear hatred and mischaracterisation of all Muslims, I joined them.

When I saw the ISC review of grades in independent schools, I saw rational segmentation of data by religious group; I saw reason. When Islamic groups decried the review because it found that girls in Islamic schools performed significantly worse than the state school standards, I opposed them.

Islam is an "idea", Muslims are those who follow that "idea". . . different issues
Similarly, Gandhi has said,"I like your Christ, I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ."
Christ is the "idea", and "Christians" are the followers of that "idea". .
Therefore, I believe there is one "missing premise", "Did they follow what is taught from that idea"?
Common fallacy, confusion between "association" and "causation". . .

Islamophobia is prejudice against, hatred toward, or fear of Islam or muslims.

Antisemitism is hostility or prejudice against Jews.

They are not the same things.

A Muslim could be antisemitic.
A Jew could be islamophobic.
A Christian can be antisemitic and be islamophobic.

Is it basically antisemitism for Muslims or "cultural" Muslims? (this person also told me Muslim included race, as "Jew" has historically referred to one's nationality OR religion...I don't think so).

Thoughts?

I think in practice islamophobia and antisemitism share some of the nastier effects, such as violence and unequal social treatment against individuals solely for their perceived religious affiliations.

I still think people are conflating a system of belief or ideas and actual human beings.

In practice both antisemitism and islamophobia confuses perceptions of a culture, whether grounded or baseless, with merits of the individual.

I wouldn't say I'm phobic but I'm definitely more apprehensive about Muslims than any other religion today. Only in Muslim countries will I be killed for drawing their prophet or claiming their god doesn't exist.
If the hypothetical idea of an afterlife means more to you than the objectively true reality we all share, then you deserve no respect.

I assert many Muslims are Islamophobic. The 'moderates' aghast their religion has been hijacked by the extremists dare not protest for fear they will tortured, mutilated, and killed.

That's actually quite insightful. The people inspiring the most hatred against Muslims are other Muslims

I think Islamophobic is very good. . it is "balance" , and many are grateful for Islamophobic because Muslims realize their fake leaders and make changes, change of leadership. . .
