Negative Atheism: A Defense

Negative Atheism: A Defense

DasAmericanAtheist responding to "Rational Dawn", a group of theists trying to dismiss atheism as irrational. They fist set out against negative atheism. Presumably the case against positive atheism will follow.

Yes of course. In order to make theism look more rational they have to make atheism look irrational.

For me personally, I do not like labeling myself as a "Negative or Positive" ..."Atheist"....

The second you do this, it only makes those who do not share your "Non-Belief" label you even more than you already are.....

I am a "Non-Believer" simple as that....Everything else is a number/label game....

Well but there are differences, and non-believer to me is way too broad of a label.

The word "Atheist" is not broad... However, when you start putting "Negative or Positive" with it, is when it starts growing labels.. .

My fault, I didn't clarify my comment more.... I don't label myself as a either P or N.. Simply "Atheist"....

Ah I get it now. Now I know what else I have to learn. Hopefully the road won't be to tretreous. Confused

I would say all ready I am a positive atheist.

But I am not sure where I stand at this moment in time.

I will say this the bible is getting really interesting every time I read it.
