On a more serious note, I can understand both sides to this debate. I can't decide for sure which I prefer.
I don't think Obama can be considered even a moderate socialist. Unless you guys think Obamacare equals commie stuff. My saying is that promotion of fascism could be allowed in the future, but it's impossible for now, historical reasons mainly, imagine the case of germany, in germany showing a nazi cross in public will get you in jail because of the holocaust, and even though it is very severe I can understand the will of german constitutionalists to prevent further atrocities, they took things too far. Fascism is still alive despite many people not noticing it, when it calms down perhaps we could allow more public free speech. As for informal speech that doesn't reach the general public and has zero influence, it's not punishable.
