I have also noticed this.
I truly think it has to do with the rise of closet atheists "coming out."

I think it has less to do with the rise of atheism than with losing on a number of fronts in the social wars: homosexuality; marijuana use; sexual education.
If there is a god, I want to believe that there is a god.  If there is not a god, I want to believe that there is no god.

That so true, I left my church not long ago, and numbers with that church was dropping drastically, I think people are growing up and no longer need a big daddy looking over them.

Nothing wrong with a bit of escapism at the movies.
My issue is that the xtards will think they're documentaries!
They think David Attenborough will give a fucking epilogue at the end or something.
