Civ 5

At this point I won't buy anything unless its on offer for like 75% off. I either get them from steam sales or G2A.com. I finally got Diablo 3 when it was on G2A for like £10.

Thinking about it most of my games come from G2A these days. Just so much cheaper than getting them even from steam. Just checked and one expansion was 8 euros and the other 6. So that's a little over £10 I think.

Quick note: When founding a religion in Civ, I always make it named "A Firm Gential Rubbing" or "A Seductive Jesus Striptease" or something, because then whenever city-states ask for my religion, I get a notification screaming "Vatican City wants A Firm Genital Rubbing!" or "Tyre wants A Seductive Jesus Striptease!"

How does it work? It has steam keys for nearly quarter the price of what they are on steam??

I'm not certain but my understanding of it is this:

- Some games are priced differently in other countries so people buy a game in somewhere like Russia where games are about 1/2 the price or less and sell it to a CD key company like G2A.

- When a sale happens people buy up a lot of the game on sale to resell later at a small profit.

I was dubious of it at first. I've used them quite a lot since and never had an issue. You pay, it gets verified and you have your key within 5 mins. They have their own sales from time to time that are insane. New games for like £2-5.

Well if I get round to buying the dlc for Civ 5 it will likely be from g2a then. Wish I'd of known about it because I spent a stupid tenner on just a couple of extra civs rather than the actual expansions.

RE: Civ 5
I remember running into an issue with Rome, where I had a small to medium standing army, but a lot of production. So some civ thinks I'm weak, and attacks, but I quickly double my troops in 5-10 turns while my initial forces repel the initial assault.

I don't want to maintain a large army all the time, but if I don't the other civs think I'm weaker than I really am. Of course there's also the chance that I have a small army, but easily defended boundary, so they misinterpret that as me being easy pickings.

Gonna try a Portugal game. Seems like they can gain comparable gold to venice while still being able to settle new cities.
