Correct. And that is dependent on what the law defines as a person.

Didn't say you had one Losty, I was just speaking hypothetically Tongue So yeah don't have kids just because someone else says so.

No it isn't. If you walk into my house by accident thinking your friend still lives here. You are an innocent person and it still isn't illegal for me to shoot you in the head.

Of course it is, I hope!... At least here it is, you can only use bruter force if it's appropriate, and in that case, it isn't...

From a purely legal standpoint I have to agree with Chas here, by obligation - The right to live is above all other rights in the vast majority of conflicts - I'm not taking a position, just stating a fact - At least in my constitution it says the right to live is supreme and above all else (indirectly) - And that's the main reason the death penalty is illegal, btw. This is the legal exposition most States chose, the right to live and human dignity are always at the top - From a pure legal standpoint bodily autonomy is important but it is not as much as it surpasses the right to live, because without the right to live you can't have bodily autonomy, since you don't exist. I could discuss this being wrong, but from a simple look at the facts it's undeniable that hierarchically the right to live is usually (not always) number one.

If what walks into your house isn't a person, then there isn't even a question, is there?

I didn't say "solely dependent".
