Wolf, you can come visit me in Carlsbad, CA, if you'd like. Most people who visit me don't want to leave Smile

Hahahahaha. I'm the real deal man, my family moved there when it was just sand and beaches. Dirtport is a very specific sort of expression. Put it this way, when I was a kid, they were just finishing laying bricks and pavement on the roads...lol. I was in town last year, I could barely recognize the place. I went out for a drive and got lost.......in my hometown.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

I've googlemapped my 'hood in Belleair. I can't recognize anything but the road structure. Kind of weird.

RE: Stay or Go?
if I decide to go back I would have to change a lot of shit...
I have two Honda 150cc scooters and my car and all of my shit at home (which isn't THAT much really)

I wonder if I should pay to transport those bikes (The bikes new were about $3,500) or just sell them and use it towards moving expenses. Connecticut isn't the friendliest scooter place for at least 4 months of the year.

Shit is gonna be freakin expensive

Yeah, it's just really valuable property is all. The buildings change like towels at a turkish bath. It wasn't always that way though. It was, honestly, an earthly paradise when I was a kindergartner. I could watch the sun go down over the gulf from my bedroom window half a mile away......and the heat lightning..... I spent the summers in the swamps, and the schoolyear there in the bay - back when it had fish in it.....my family sold bromeliads and oleanders for a living....

The sunken gardens...man, chirst, see what you did...there's a tear in my eye.

The place I grew up, on the right, the corner lot. That's an elementary school caddy corner. It was built along time ago, it was still a 1 room spanish style stucco schoolhouse when I went.......sigh. I planted the jacuranda in the backyard, and I'm older than that oaktree. If anyone wants to see Paradise, just follow the brick road to the west and look out over the channel..lol. I kissed my first girlfriend under those palms when they were just 5 feet tall. Her name was Adriana, beautiful Argentinian girl.

My family's place from '91-'93. I guess it doesn't look too much different. Maybe a lighter shade. I remember more of a vomit brown. Also, less trees.
