Romans objected to Jewish monotheism because it negated the nationalistic part of Roman religion. Roman and other pagan temples also served as market places. As well as requiring that Roman busts be displayed in Jewish temples, the Romans required that the Jewish temples allow markets. It was a subjugation tactic. If there was a real Jesus, I think that the overturning of the tables was an anti-Roman act. Maybe it was the one that got him crucified.

The Gospels are pro Roman, so the story had to alter a little.

You seem totally incapable of reading this gospel horseshit in the proper order....mark...matty...luke...john or luke/matty...it really doesn't matter with those two....and seeing how the characterizations of the jews became more strident over time there simply is no hope for you.

The crowd is being portrayed as throwing rocks at a man's head because of who he kisses. Is that somehow morally neutral?
If they look to heaven and whisper "sorry" as they do it, will that redeem the characters?
