In the ineterst of expandding your knowledge despite yourself.

Smegma, a build up of penile secretion and other gunk, you can get an accumulation of it under the german helmet if not cleaned regularly.

The more you know.

You can fix ignorance, you can't fix stupid.

To a certain stripe of connoisseur, 'smegma' is also known as 'head cheese'.

Appearance matters.
Don't fool yourself.

My daughter wanted a tattoo. She was about 17 or 18.
I said,"Wait till you are 25 then do it".
Knowing that by then she would have acquired sufficient wisdom to forget it.
In typical daughter fashion, she went and got one.
Years later, she had the lazer treatment to try to lessen the thing.
That helped a lot.

I am 23 and my fiance and I support ourselves better than any other 20 year Olds we know. I am Also tattooed through and through while working in the medical field.

Employers here don't care much about body modification as long as you're dressed professionally.

I am shocked to see an otherwise pretty ( or plain) girl screw up her face.
I don't get it.
I suspect there is some subliminal subculture influencing this.
Is this the case?
Do they hate themselves?

Thanks for the somewhat compliment but this is MY body and as far as I am concerned, I did not ask for your Judgment or opinion.

Also, to add to this, my face is not pierced or tattooed. Even if it was, still not your place for judgment.

Lol That's the "basic" term for smegma. It's Also simply a build up of body oils, sweat and dead skin cells in a crease or hole of the body. Wink

If I have learned one valuable lesson in my life that I would like to share it is, don't ask questions. Not here. Not this.

TGA I don't know what smegma is (and I don't really want to know either), but I always struggled with earrings. I don't know much about all of this, but I know that if I put anything besides gold in my ears the result is awful. It takes less that 15 minutes for the swelling and itching. Maybe you haven't found the right material to use still?

That's what I am thinking. I don't really have time to Call anyone today about it because the person I trust is on vacation Lol so I may just try glass or rubber tapers.

I just feel the need to state this.

-Yes, I love myself, through and through.
-Through culture of body mod has nothing to do with my choices. I simply love modifying my body, simple as that.
-I have plans for more tattoos. Piercings are done.
-I am simply asking for advice from possible other body modded peers to see if they've experienced these same issues.
-State your opinion if you want to but I am employed IN THE MEDICAL FIELD, I work a full time job and I am engaged. My fiances opinion is the only one I care for when it comes to opinions.
-I have never and do not ever struggle with employment.
-Rather you find me to be pretty, plain, average, ugly, hideous...whatever, again, I do not care.

I am not here to start shit but I can say this, I've never ever received criticism from others like I have on these forums for MY personal choices. I'd Also never, in my entire lifetime, offend any of you or judge any of you for your personal choices so I think the same respect is deserved!

Don't even bother reading professor's posts TGA. He's just being an asshole because he's an asshole. That's all.

First of all, the "west" has always been "pagan"; as far back as we know, the west didn't receive much if any Christian attention until the middle ages. After all, the "pagans" were here first. So, under your system of logical premises, it would be the Christian invaders who spread their "naked body ideals" to others, and then expected others to follow suit.

You don't have to "get it". You don't have to "get" why gay people are gay. You just have to leave them be. Isn't "free will" a thing for you people?

That was some marvelously delicious word salad there, may I have another? You're suggesting that the certain "subculture" of "people who do things like this" is putting out messages that cannot be consciously detected. That's crazy. At least Christian churches use tried and true hypnosis methods in order to make people more willing to be submissive, but your suggestion is a whole other level of crazy. For that to happen, pretty much every tattoo and BM parlor in the city would have to be playing silent subliminals all day every day. And even then, subliminals are kinda weak. So "No, this is not the case." And PLEASE save your pathetic psych evals for someone who's actually in need of them, not some large, amorphous group.

TO THE OP: Sucks to have a metal allergy. Don't go with rubber, you'll get discoloration and deterioration of the material after some time. Also, it's pretty porous, and cleaning the stuff may be next to impossible.

Glass would seem to be your optimal choice here, it's highly non-porous. You can even boil the fuckers if you want. Clean-up's pretty easy, as there's little in the way of chemical solvents that will hurt glass. You could even get con'c HCl and drop 'em in there for a few hours.

Not entirely sure, but perhaps you have a high skin-cell shed rate. (Pure, pulled straight from my ass speculation.) Pay particular scrubbing attention to your ears in the shower over a week or two, and see if that does anything particular.

RE: Body modification advice
My son, who had his ears stretched to 1.5" (1 and 1/2 inches) while in his late teens and early 20's has just completed his second surgery for lobe repair. His ears will never look 'normal' again.

Life changes - some modifications are harder to recover from. Be careful.

Also, I would undo all of my tattoos if I could, but I cannot. Good luck.

@professor

You make a good first post....

Your first comment was a reflection from your own personal perspective - well written and expressive. Your second comment was nothing short of you projecting your perspective onto others - shameful and insulting.

You'll need to curb your projections if you hope to be a good witness. At least work on your consistency.

I appreciate the advice but I'm a mature adult. I never and will never live in regret. I have a tattoo I got when I was 14 and stupid over a boy and don't regret that.
