A poem I wrote last night

RE: A poem I wrote last night
Good job, Deidre.

Every time I try to write a song or poem about my lack of faith, it comes out sounding like polemics. I like that you caught a more understated approach.

There once was a plumber from Leigh
Who was plumbing a girl by the sea
She said "Stop your plumbing, I think someone's coming!"
Said the plumber, still plumbing "It's me!"

There was a young lad from Japan
Who wrote verses that just didn't scan.
Said, 'I know its not right,
And rather a plight,
'But I have this annoying habit of trying to get as many syllables into the last line of the poem as I possibly can.'

Boru
‘But it does me no injury for my neighbour to say there are twenty gods or no gods. It neither picks my pocket nor breaks my leg.’ - Thomas Jefferson
