RE: "How are we here?"
I'd never heard of 'the intentional stance' and upon enquiry find it is a theory of Daniel Dennett. I'm sure his theory contains much truth. Of course we see purpose or intentions in things that don't have them e.g superstitions. Maybe I don't really exist so all this pondering is futile anyway.

But yes I also think they're is no mysterious ultimate purpose to life. Looks like I quoted you before you posted it now. |

You're either the bit of puke you mention or so intellectual that perhaps you can't come down to my level. There is no mysterious purpose to life. We were created simply to enjoy life. Not to be tested or to worship. Many people spend their miserable lives searching for some purpose that isn't there, love, freedom, community, religion - or they make their own purpose that causes the same effect. Missing life for the search. Money, work, etc. Frank Herbert wrote something to the effect that to seek freedom you become enslaved by your desires but to seek discipline you find leberation. |

A man is born to a virgin mother, lives, dies, comes alive again and then disappears into the clouds to become his Dad. How likely is that? |
