So essentially what is being said here is that..... "I have my own opinnion on what does and does not constitute "Atheism" and I have friends to back me up with this idea construct, while I declare that I have hard science to rely on and logic to argue with." Happy to be shouted at again

RE: How I got Out of Religion.
So if a Cult pejoratively refers to a group whose beliefs or practices could be considered strange or sinister then I'd just have to prove that atheists are atheists are a group (given) with common beliefs (given) and are considered strange (there are some wierdos here) or have sinister motives (I'm sure there's at least one troll on here somewhere with an atheist tag, quick fr0d0 change your tag)

I'm merely astounded at your apparent ignorance of simple terms like "atheist" and "religion". Secondly, my own opinion has absolutely nothing to do with it. I'm reading out definitions here...standard definitions. Buddhism is defined as a religion. Atheism isn't. Buddhism matches the requirements of a religion. Atheism doesn't. If you disagree, we can have a discussion on that, but first I'd like to see you explain what specific beliefs atheists have concerning the cause, nature, and purpose of the universe, what rituals we have, and what moral code we have. |

RE: How I got Out of Religion.
Void I know you think Fr0d0 is a deep undercover atheist and his theism is part of a "sinister plot". Make him change it to validate my arguement. Besides this forum is just a Poe forum right leo

For the record, and in all seriousness, I completely support Fr0d0 and usually understand his persepctive. I would happily be associated with such a thoughtful fellow Christian. I guess you killed my rallying call for a riot.
