I gave you a list of possible reasons why such a person might not have a job.
What do you mean by "Such a person"? Do you know this man?

No, you do not know the man who was begging, and neither do you know me. I've personally faced more hardship than you might imagine. Your presumptions are entirely fallacious.

My OP was a rant about how money that is supposedly going to help homeless families is actually going to church employees. It's a scam.

So a church employee can't be homeless?

A few years ago there was a story in the LATimes about how airline employees have to live in campers in the airport parking lot because they don't make enough money to afford housing in LA.

See above.

I sincerely hope you're a troll and don't actually 'debate' in this manner. If so, then this debate is finished at the end of this sentence.

@ShaMan

I do agree with the principle that has you indignant. Ideally, 100% of charitable contributions should go to the needy (at least 80%). It burns me to learn how much get's eaten up in 'administrative costs.' That's why it's important to research a charity you are interested in donating to.

Out of curiosity a few questions, perhaps rhetorical.
Would you be as mad if the guy collected $20 for charity in a six hour shift (still being paid $10 an hour)?
What about if he collected $5,000 an hour?
What if the guy was an atheist?
If he collects $80 in a shift, makes $60, and gives $20 to the homeless, isn't that $20 more than a lot of people (possibly including you) give?

If it could be proven beyond doubt that God exists...
and that He is the one spoken of in the Bible...
would you repent of your sins and place your faith in Jesus Christ?

Does it really matter? One can not be apart of the "oppressed majority" if they are not persecuted in some sense, way or fashion for what they believe or are not affiliated with.

I accept your defeat.

Perhaps even more so.
What about if he collected $5,000 an hour?
That'd be wonderful!
What if the guy was an atheist?
Regarding what specifically?

I 'give' far more to the homeless issue by way of my time and care for the community. My 'donations' cannot be stolen away for administrative costs, and I see first hand the positive impact my contributions bring.
(All BOLD mine in response)
