Christians, may I be wrong?

Then why do you follow - or pretend to follow - a creed which claims it has all the answers?

All absolutes are merely illusions.
Nobody can ever "No" anything.

Try the above the next time you get stopped for some driving violation.
Be sure to post how it goes.

That's a good point because isn't God essentially just a big, celestial Southern cop. He busts our chops because he loves us.

But I hadn't addressed the question to God, just to those who call themselves Christians. Is it alright with YOU if I just go ahead and do what I choose so long as I don't run afoul of any secular laws? If so, then you can actually answer "yes".

Wouldn't you really rather leave it up to me and God to work out my business, or has He deputized you or something? Otherwise, what I was looking for is a thumbs up to live and let live. I'm willing to share the land with you and your ilk, even though I think your brand of theology is repugnantly low-brow. I wouldn't need to point that out to you if you weren't such a holier-than-thou, busy-body pompous ass. Well the offer still stands if you change your mind.

[But, really, why would you think you are any position to speak for God?]

Everyone is wrong about many things. There are some things you can be wrong about and it doesn't make any real difference. There are some things you must be right about or the consequences will be disastrous.
His invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse.

Like sharp objects, precipices, hot things and tossing God's salad.

Sorry, I'm an impulsive joker. Your post seemed sincere and the implied risk wasn't cached as a threat so no insult intended to you.

Ever notice how Christians can make god look like a very nasty fellow without realizing it?

Whateverist,
I want to answer a bit of your questions (if possible)-

My position for speaking for God:
I know what He said and I know His dealings w/ me over 42 years.

God has given us charge to speak the truth and present the Gospel.
(not with a sledgehammer-by the way)
To cast down lofty arguments (pseudo-science and false religion)
To strengthen the feeble hands. To encourage the faint hearted.

You can do whatererist you want.

We are saying there are big pitfalls on this journey- a spiritual minefield.
If you play in the devil's playpen- he has a right to play with you.
He doesn't play fair or nice.
His purpose is to kill,to steal and to destroy.
He has a myriad of philosophies and tricks.
Look around - it has been working.

Finally, most of what is blamed on God is actually the result of the working out of the above paragraph.

We are not yet in the final episode of this age when God WILL be striking this satanic world system in judgment.
And His purpose then will be twofold-
to expedite people's final decision- for or against Him, and to bring to ruin the false religions of the world/ the coming antichrist (O), his false prophet (Francis).

P.S.- right now, if you see killing, stealing and destroying- you have found the devil.

You two go way back. Do you think this being that has existed forever has actually noticed you in your little 42 year blink of His Eye?

That really cuts at the issue as I see it in that I just don't recognize the charge you've been given as valid or authoritative. I realize that you do, but I'd like you to recognize that you and I just don't subscribe to the same mindset. So what I'm asking of you is that you acknowledge a polite no thank you and choose tolerance over belligerence.

Good one. I can do whateveritis I want. =)

I heard it the first time. I don't see it the same way but you are certainly welcome to your opinion.

Okay that was a little too much information. I feel like you just flashed me with the crazy part of your mind .. and now I need a shower. This is what I'm asking you to spare me from. Think all the crazy shit you like. A-okay with me. I'll just be over here living a normal life, thank you anyway.

I find believing in "the devil" as even more crazy than belief in a personal god. To believe in both is to live with a schizophrenic worldview IMO. Fine though. Have it your way. Just leave me and the other normal people out of it. You have discharged your commission. Message received. Message rejected. Move along now.

Oh, I'm sure he WILL. That seems to be his MO. He's pretty busy in the past and going to be very busy in the future, but he's nowhere to be found right this moment. Also, he wanted me to tell you that the word "gullible" isn't in the dictionary.

Umm, Whateverist, sorry for answering the questions you asked of me.
I miss-understood.
