Tacitus
RE: Tacitus
Can God create a rock too heavy to lift?

Can God make a burrito too hot for Him to eat?

We can't have a conversation with atheists because they shut their minds down. The fact remains if there was this alleged infinite regress of cause and effects atheists cling to, you would have had an eternity to come into being before now, so you should have already happened, so nature needs a cause outside of itself, outside of time and space, being uncreated by the uncreated Creator.

On the bright side, it only took this one a few hours to suicide.
"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."

It looks like we are not going to be able to talk about the fact that if there was this infinite regress of cause and effects in nature, you would have happened already, having had an eternity to do so, so nature needs a cause outside of itself, outside of time and space, being uncreated. We can't talk to atheists about the Bible until we first establish the uncreated Creator.

Too bad atheists shut their minds down.

According to Romans 1.20, the fact remains if there was this alleged infinite regress of cause and effects in nature that atheists cling to, you would have happened already, having had an eternity to do so, so nature needs a cause outside of itself, outside of time and space, being uncreated.

We can't talk to atheists about the Bible until we first establish the uncreated Creator. Baby steps!

Let the record show atheists shut their minds down.

Words . . . words . . . words.

And this alleged (judging by this thread, I know you don't know that word, so look it up) "uncreated Creator" can be demonstrated to be Yahweh -- how? Don't tell me how your holy book of ancient bullshit is the "proof". Seriously, don't do that. Explain how we get from an Aristotelian postulate to the Hebrew god without thereby "proving" the existence of other gods along the way.

On a side note, I really can't keep a straight face when a self-professed Trinitarian lectures others on conceptual coherence.

Kind of surprised he isn't gone yet.
In every country and every age, the priest had been hostile to Liberty.

I think he's trying to spam us and not aware that the forum will consolidate consecutive posts.

Probably not even reading the responses at this point.

Just preach and pitch it over the side.

Off with his head!
