I have a greater level of intellectual trust from someone I know is an atheist. It's not a sure thing, and my feelings have been proven wrong, but generally I can relate to someone more if I know they're an atheist.

Got to remember so you can avoid making the same mistake.
Because I interact with people in more of a stateless manner (hence I cannot remember names without repeated exposure to the same person over many, many times), memory is a valuable commodity. Plus, I value my sleep over remembering negative things - I have enough to be depressed over.
